     Title: Analytical Development Manager

The Manager of Analytical Development provides technical expertise in the analysis of protein products such as monoclonal antibodies, enzymes, and growth factors. Analytical techniques utilized will include protein assays, HPLC, ELISA, SDS-PAGE, immunoblotting (Westerns), isoelectric focusing, and basic glycoprotein analysis.

Responsibilities:

• The oversight and execution of analytical laboratory procedures.
• Interpretation and review of analytical data.
• Review of laboratory notebooks.
• Method development. 
• Troubleshooting analytical methods and instruments.
• Maintenance of analytical equipment.
• Qualification and validation of analytical methods and instrumentation.
• Writing protocols, technical reports, standard operating procedures, transfer documents, qualification/validation documentation(IQ/OQ/PQ) and client proposals. 
• Completion of contract projects on-time and within budget.
• Supervision of analytical associates.
• Training of analytical and QC staff in analytical methods and instrumentation. 
• Coordination and collaboration with quality assurance, quality control, development, and manufacturing groups in support of development and manufacturing projects. 
• Active participation in safety committee and serve as chemical hygiene officer.   

Qualifications:

• Ph.D. preferred in analytical chemistry or biochemistry.
  5-10 years of progressive experience in analytical chemistry or biochemistry. Demonstrated expertise in protein analytical methods, qualification/validation of methods /instrumentation and supervision of a GLP and or cGMP laboratory.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Must be able to work within multifunctional teams
• Working knowledge of regulatory and compendial guidelines including USP,ICH, and FDA
• Supervisory experience preferred.
