     Title: Cytovance® Biologics Announces the Company is Expanding

OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLAHOMA (May 11, 2009) - Cytovance Biologics® announced today that it is currently in the very late planning stages of expanding within the 44,000 square-foot manufacturing facility located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  Cytovance Biologics® currently specializes in the execution of clinical production of antibody and recombinant protein products derived from cell culture at scales up to 500L (w/v) from batch, fed-batch and perfusion processes. 

When the expansion is complete the facility will house an additional 1,000L and 5,000L scale manufacturing process trains.    Cytovance continues to provide process creation and development, phase I, II, and III clinical trial materials as well as the establishment of regulatory robustness to support validation and commercial market launch for therapeutic proteins and monoclonal antibodies.  This expansion involves the addition of two state-of-the-art bioreactors, 100L WAVE and a 100L microbial facility.  Phase I of the project is expected to be completed later this year.

Cytovance was selected to develop processes and cGMP manufacture of Selexys Pharmaceuticals Corporation’s product HPL1 Monoclonal Antibody (Mab).  Late in 2008 the Economic Development Generating Excellence (EDGE), an Oklahoma state funded endowment granted $2 million to the recipients Hyalose and Cytovance Biologics® to partner to produce sugar-based therapeutics for evaluation, sale and licensing for an Oklahoma glycol-manufacturing facility. 

Cytovance Biologics® is located in a state-of-the-art research park developed by the Presbyterian Health Foundation (PHF) of Oklahoma City.  Cytovance currently employees over 50 people and intend to grow that number to 150 employees a year from now.
